Doing what we do second best, hanging out at the airport and eating!  We often have cookouts at the airport, as well holding other other social events.

Our Chapter is a family affair.  We encourage young people to participate, going so far as to offer free ground school for those that want to learn to fly.

You never know what will show up at the airport.  This happens to be the EAA B-17, "Aluminum Overcast".  As Chapter Members, we often work as volunteer ground crew when the B-17 visits Aurora.

This is what EAA Chapter 579 is all about...airplanes.  You don't have to own one, you don't have to be building one, you just have to like them.
